At this time last year I was in Denmark. I’ve spent 5 months in a place called Højskole, that is a type of school they have there.
During those months I made some pictures, I’d like to share, but was too lazy to post (you know, to tell, to write a story and so on).
So, this is what I saw and done in Denmark.
Short after arrival, exploring surroundings.
Playing pool in the living room.
In the school we all gained some weight. Chilling in the afternoon.
Kristina and her Mickey Mouse cup.
Tomas triad to learn to play piano all the stay in Denmark.
My room-mate Edita.
Walking to the ruins of the old castle Kalø.
Those trees seemed to me like from fairy tale – very mysterious.
Tomas took the picture of me with my camera.
The power-plant looks good in the background of the sea.
On the way home from the sea.
The colours of the forest were so beautiful.
While coming back from the sea, we found the football field.
Some random going for a walk (by the way, pictures are not mixed, weather in Denmark – that’s a thing really mixed up).
In January we were doing projects in groups.
I asked Tomas to take a picture of me with Troels, which was in the same group with me.
So he took this one…
…and this one.
Martina tried on my sunglasses.
Interesting point – she is wearing sign of one Lithuanian book publisher “Baltos avys”, although, she’s from Czech.
Celebration at the end of the first “project” month.
We finished our projects and some people left home.
Blue books we called Bible. Those are high school song books. We had to sing at every occasion, like starting the day, the lesions, the meeting etc.
This picture I made only because of the lamps. But like also Kristina’s cheeks – so nicely red.
Kristina later on at the celebration.
Søren at the same party.
Outdoor lesion.
Me and Edita making orientation running.
The fog was so thick, that I got lost in the fields.
Carnival party. Kristina is a cabaret girl.
on the way to the sea, to drink some tea.
tea
those red tea pots (what is the right English word for them?) we were washing every day for 5 months. I love them, they are my primary association with Denmark.
In March we went skiing to Norway.
I was standing on the skies first time in my life.
It was a challenge to catch up with the group and to shoot at the same time.
We had an opportunity to go to the mountains to make a snow cabin and to sleep in it.
Only 7 from us about 30 decided to take this opportunity.
This yellow thing on the picture is my glove. It was extremely cold, so I was shooting with my skiing gloves and that isn’t very comfortable.
My outdoors teacher is checking, if the snow is deep enough.
Digging the holes
My outdoor teacher – Gunnar. Actually we made excellent snow cabin.
I slept like a baby, could say it was cosy and warm.
Alpine skiing.
I had to cope with my fear of hight. I had extreme fear of hight.
It was first hot spring day.
Actually my friends and family here back in Vilnius had some stereotypes about weather in Denmark (it rains all the time, it’s cold and so on). But it isn’t true. We came back after skiing and it was smth like summer already. I came back to Lithuania in June, and my skin colour was dark brown as if I have been somewhere deep south.
So, it was first hot spring day and it was Sunday – lazy as always in Rønde.
We decided to bring our cubes outside.
Those cubes by the way are wonderful things.
It’s a picture about Denmark: Grundvig, bun with chocolate chips, simple and strange architecture, the cup from royal Copenhagen…
Kristina with the hat and Grundvig.
This hat she painted herself and it’s extremely cool.
Don’t you think so?
Is there any beer left?
Climbing up the trees.
One sunny evening with Tomas in children playground.
He made this picture with my camera.
Frisbee
Troels in the background of clouds.
Another lazy Sunday afternoon.

The event called MBTI day.
If you not interested in psychology – it’s a personality type indicator.
We had to find out our hidden talents.
random self-portrait
Troels and his tatoo made bu Kristina.
Fooling around in the garden.
Yeah!
that’s HULK (you know)
This is my absolute favorite picture.
I love the emotions in it.
Smoking water pipe in Kristina room (I think it was not allowed to smoke).
Kristina’s present for Troel’s birthday.
(those guys she paint are REALLY cool)
random picture of Troels
Tomas checking what are we doing in the theatre hall.

Extremely rare occasion – Troels is tidying up.
